On Friday, February 3rd, the University of Denver experienced a rare snow day. Around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, students, faculty and staff received word via the campus Emergency Notification System that the campus would be closed. The city of Denver ended up with over a foot of snow over the next 24 hours, breaking a 103-year-old record!
Despite the university closure and record breaking snow totals, the Office of Undergraduate Admission continued to offer Friday@DU, one of the visit programs offered to prospective students and their guests. Campus facilities came out in full force to ensure that our guests had access to the venue.
43 guests showed up to attend the Friday@DU program, and our tour guides were ready to show them around. Rain or shine (or snow!), our guides are always eager and willing to show anyone our beautiful campus. Sign up for a visit today, and make sure to wear layers!
