May 1st will be here before you know it. What is the significance of the date, May 1st , you ask? Well, it is the single most important day of the rest of your life! (just kidding). It is the National College Decision Day. This is the day high school seniors are expected to commit to a college or university by submitting a tuition and sometimes a housing deposit. It is about 90 days away...that is three months!
OK, do not freak out! This is do-able. You have time to do this, attend prom and finish your senior year strong, right? Oh wait!!! What about visiting campus? You say you can’t fit it into your schedule. Ok… breathe. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in. Hold it for a moment. Ok,… release your breath and repeat this a couple of times. It actually helps! Now let’s see about how you can get a good feeling for the campus.
You are in luck! Did you know you can take a virtual tour of campus? Yes, DU offers a video guided tour of the campus, and students are the ones giving the tour. If for whatever reason you are unable to come to campus in person, look into going on a virtual tour of the University of Denver.
We take you around the campus. We talk about the buildings, the academic departments, and experiences to help you get a feel for what DU is all about. We understand not everyone can visit all the colleges they are considering, but a virtual tour can give you some good insight. You’ve got this! With the variety of platforms and technology at your fingertips you will find campuses, faculty, and students are a keystroke away.
