And so it is mid-terms on here. I can’t believe it is that time, but time does indeed fly on the quarter system. I just took an accounting mid-term that to say the least, wasn’t very fun. To add to it, this is the last time I trust one of my friends on their judgment of professors… They claimed this professor was really easy. So I thought, I took managerial accounting before, passing with flying colors and therefore this class would be a piece of cake! WRONG! As it turns out, I forgot much of what I took from managerial accounting from sophomore year, and this professor really doesn’t teach you much. All he does is flash a problem on his PowerPoint and expect you to know it. Therefore, you have to come to class really prepared or learn it by yourself after class if you don’t understand. Luckily, I remembered a few things from my managerial accounting class, or else I would be totally lost, like some of the people sitting next to me.
So the moral of the story you ask? Make your own judgments about professors. Many times I have enjoyed professors that others did not like. Yes by all means do listen to your friends, but keep in mind your own learning style and what works best for you… Do this and you will come to enjoy your college experience.
Finally, one last food for thought… Your college career does fly by and there is another mile stone that you get to look forward to thereafter – getting a job! Yes, I am starting the process and beginning to heavily search. No more schooling for me, it is time for the real world, and to make some money. I will let you know where the job search takes me. So remember, the challenges of life never end, first college, then a job…. then it just keeps going from there.
Anyway, take a look at a few pictures below. I had the great opportunity to go to a great restaurant called BOA in the highlands here in Denver. They serve both Mexican and Asian food, in addition to a fusion of both. I am a big fan. You should try it if you get the chance. Their address is:
3464 West 32nd Avenue
Denver, CO 80211
United States
This was dessert... It was gone fast.... A Churro and ice cream... mmmm...
