Who says that you can't have field trips in college?
Well, last night, I had a great field trip with my Management of Income Properties class and was able to take a tour of the largest and tallest office in downtown Denver called 1801 California. Most people will know this building as it has the big QWEST sign on it.
I have to say, it actually was a great tour to truly see what it takes to operate a large-scale building like this. Most people will think this is quite boring, but I was able to see some amazing offices and the mechanics of the building, all while understanding the cost it takes to run a building of this size. Believe it or not the owner of this building makes about $26 million per month!
The best part was we were able to go the roof and be 52 floors above the Denver skyline. It was pretty amazing. Take a look at some pictures.

The closest you can get the to the Qwest sign.

It indeed is a long way down!
